Insurance review
Properly insured – not too much, not too little

How your insurance review works
Four steps from a pile of contracts to cover that fits.
Inventory of all contracts
We record all your existing insurance policies – from liability and occupational disability to retirement provision – and give you a clear overview.
Cost-benefit check
We check every policy for premium, scope of cover and terms: are you paying too much for too little – or does the cover still suit your life situation?
Gaps & duplicate cover
We uncover dangerous gaps in cover just as we identify superfluous or duplicate contracts that only cost money without offering any real added value.
Clear recommendation & optimisation
Where it makes sense, we adjust your cover and give clear, comprehensible recommendations – based solely on your actual needs, not on sales.
Case studies
What unreviewed policies cost you every year
Most contracts simply keep running – and the extra costs with them. What you overpay today you will never get back. In many of our reviews, premiums can be reduced by more than 22%.1 With retirement provision, even more is often at stake: high costs eat into your wealth over decades.
Example 1 · Insurance
Mr M., 42, self-employed, owner-occupied flat
Over the years, five contracts had accumulated – taken out at different stages of life and never compared since. The private health insurance in particular kept getting more expensive while the scope of cover stayed the same.
After the review: a tariff switch with the same insurer under § 204 of the German Insurance Contract Act (VVG) with comparable benefits, a restructured occupational disability insurance and the removal of a superfluous add-on cover.
| Policy | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Private health insurance (PKV) | €7,200 | €5,640 |
| Occupational disability insurance (BU) | €1,380 | €1,080 |
| Legal expenses insurance | €420 | €330 |
| Household contents insurance | €290 | €190 |
| Personal liability insurance | €145 | €75 |
| Total per year | €9,435 | €7,315 |
Example 2 · Private pension insurance
Ms K., 35, employed, saves €250 a month for retirement
Until she retires at 65, she will pay into her private pension insurance for another 30 years. The product information sheet states effective costs of 2.0% per year – a figure hardly anyone pays attention to. Over 30 years, it makes all the difference.
A low-cost alternative with 0.7% effective costs leads, with the same total contributions of €90,000, to significantly higher wealth at the start of retirement.
How much are you overpaying? We review your policies free of charge – and we'll also tell you if everything is fine.

Example 2: assumes 5.0% annual return before costs, monthly contributions over 30 years, costs as effective costs (reduction in yield), values rounded. With occupational disability (BU), health (PKV) and pension policies, we never advise hasty cancellation: we examine health checks, guarantees, surrender value and acquisition costs already paid with particular care – often making the policy paid-up (premium-free) or switching tariffs is the better solution.
